CAFFE MINGO REINVENTS & REOPENS
PORTLAND, OREGON – Caffe Mingo is pleased to announce its reopening after a 5-month shutdown due to COVID-19. In reopening, Caffe Mingo has taken the opportunity to reinvent how it delivers it’s service as one of Portland’s favorite locavore-focused Italian restaurants. Caffe Mingo and Bar Mingo have fully merged under the Caffe Mingo banner and have added Mercato at Mingo, where patrons can order Take Out and pick up Take & Make Mingo favorites.
Chef Jerry Huisinga, an active force in Caffe’s reinvention, has chosen to focus his creativity on developing fresh pasta for Take & Make through the Mercato and as a continued highlight of Caffe’s menu. Brett West will be at the helm as GM at both Caffe Mingo and Mercato at Mingo. Eugene Flores will manage service at the new Caffe with Michael Cronan relishing his new role as “head sanitizer”.
Starting on August 1st, 2020, indoor seating is available with 9 tables and al fresco dining can be enjoyed on the newly constructed parklette with 6 tables. Caffe Mingo will be open from 4:00PM to 10:00PM, daily for dinner service; Happy Hour from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, Monday – Friday. The Mercato will be open from 4:00PM to 7:00PM for Take Out with plans to expand hours in the near future. Reservations through Open Table are highly recommended. Masks are required as Caffe Mingo is adhering to all CDC, WHO, Multnomah County and Oregon State guidelines for managing the space during this time.
Caffe Mingo needs your help and support. We have been serving our loyal community for over 25 years. We want to continue delivering an authentic, Italian dining experience that you have come to enjoy and love. We invite you to come out and support us through these crazy times.
Grazie! Be safe! Be happy!
